Who is behind this
The Trading Edit Academy is an independent trading-education project run by its founder, a retail trader who learned the hard way that process matters more than predictions. This academy exists to teach beginners how markets, risk and decision-making actually work.
What we are and are not qualified to provide
We provide general trading education only. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and we do not provide financial advice, personal investment recommendations, portfolio management or signals to follow. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument.
How this academy may earn money
The academy may operate an introducing-broker (IB) or affiliate relationship with one or more brokers. That means we may receive commission when someone opens an account, deposits or trades through a partner link. Commission may be tied to trading activity, which is a conflict of interest you should know about.
Conflicts of interest
Because IB commission can depend on how much someone trades, there is a built-in tension between our income and your interest in trading less and more carefully. We manage this by keeping education separate from any broker link, by never telling you to trade, and by stating this conflict openly here. Any broker-related journey will be reviewed by a UK financial-promotions specialist before it goes live.
No guarantees
No result is promised or implied. Most retail traders lose money when trading leveraged products. Past performance, hypothetical examples and simulator outcomes do not predict future results. Only ever risk money you can genuinely afford to lose.
Risk disclosure
Trading leveraged products such as CFDs and forex carries a high risk of losing money rapidly. Leverage magnifies losses as much as gains. Ordinary stop losses do not guarantee an exit price. UK retail protections include leverage caps, margin close-out and negative balance protection, but these do not make trading safe.
Complaints
If something on this site concerns you, contact us through the academy and we will respond. Because we do not provide regulated financial services, the Financial Ombudsman Service does not cover this educational content.
Privacy and data
See the privacy notice for what we store and why. Entry to the academy uses a shared password and a session cookie. No learner accounts, no email collection.
Corrections policy
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change. Educational lessons carry a visible last-reviewed date. If you spot an error, tell us and we will review it.
We do not teach people to chase trades. We teach them to understand risk, build a strategy and regulate the person making the decisions.
